Steven Gambrel can do no wrong... or should I say, has never done wrong in my book; he nails it again for the design of the restaurant Cole's Greenwich Village.
I love how the amber bottles play off the very dark brown bench seats and the stained floor panels. Did you notice how the bottles are in cases? So practical for a restaurant that must constantly be cleaned!
I think it was incredibly smart to stain the floors to create a striped pattern, as it allowed him to play with the rest of the color palette without limitations, as the floor is neither light, nor dark.
Again, the perfect balance of both light and dark. I love every single thing in this picture.
What do you all think, are you a fan of Steven Gambrel?
